Unless otherwise stated, the University of Arizona reports
its employee demographics and salaries using a yearly fall or October 1 census
file. A census file is a snapshot at a point in time that does not get updated
throughout the year with changing demographics. Census files ensure reliability
(historical reports can be replicated) and comparability (especially with
other institutions' counts), and produce meaningful trends over time.
(10-year headcount trends for employee groups including administrators,
faculty, professionals, classified staff and graduate assistants / associates by gender, minority status and race/ethnicity.)
University of Arizona regular faculty salaries (primarily tenure and tenure-eligible) are compared to AAU public institutions at the college and discipline level. The report contains 5-year market trends. The data source is the Association of American Universities Data Exchange (AAUDE).
